Anika Rose is an American performer and actress. Her most well-known role is her part as Tiana as the Princess, and The Frog's African American Princess. Disney Legends identified her one of the 2011 Disney Legends. Rose starred as Lorrell Robinson on the Academy Award-winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni rose (born on the 6th of September 1973) is an American actress and a singing. Most famous for her voice as the voice in the role of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the original African American Disney Princess. Disney Legends named her as the 2011's most popular character. Her other starring performance, in the role of Lorrell Robinson on the show Dreamgirls (2007) which has been nominated to win an Academy Award. And she performs the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner on Starz's series Power. Her other notable roles include her performances in theatre particularly for her starring roles as Emmie Thibodeaux in The Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Musical. Also, she starred as Beneatha Younger as part of A Raisin in the Sun, the Broadway production of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) for which she received nominations for the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.
