Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to serve as witnesses in court. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and is the recipient of many honors international and national levels. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments across the world on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been people who are victims of the law. She is currently a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
